Product Application Notes
Year Differences: Super Beetle - The 73 extended dash and curved windshield required a change to clear the wiring harness.
Convertibles: Super Beetle - Has reinforcing in the kick panel area but fortunately leaves room enough for a modified panel. SK-133 and SK-134 fit the two year-versions.
Common installation problems:
1. Passenger Foot Rest Plate - With the passenger foot rest plate under the carpet, appearances are that the passenger side speaker panel is cut wrong, and will not fit in the car. The instructions have an easy solution - lift plate out, install panels, set plate back in place.
2. No hardware complaints - The only hardware required to mount the panels are six trim screws which are packaged in the clear plastic film along with the panels. Often the customer throws the plastic packaging away with the screws still in it.
